NA2XY Cable Aluminium XLPE PVC – 0.6/1kV

Short Description:
Core feature: Aluminium (Al) conductor – offers significant cost and weight advantages, but with the caveat of low conductivity and high connection requirements.
Type: Aluminium conductor, double jacketed (halogen free inner jacket + PVC outer jacket) low voltage power cable (according to IEC/VDE).
Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) – provides high heat resistance and good performance.
Sheath: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) outer layer – provides economical mechanical and environmental protection.
Voltage rating: 0.6/1 kV – standard for low voltage distribution.
Standard: IEC 60502-1 – International quality and performance guarantee.
Key benefits: Cost-effective (especially for large cross sections and long distances), light weight.
Key considerations: Larger conductor cross-section (compared to copper cables with the same current), stringent connection processes (special terminals, tools, anti-oxidisation measures), relatively low mechanical strength.
