-
Copper stranding – We use 99.95% pure copper wire rods from Jiangxi Copper. For a 4×70mm² cable, the 70mm² conductor has 19 strands of 2.14mm wire. DC resistance test is done on every production lot – we keep the values 3% below the GB max limit as a safety buffer.
-
XLPE extrusion – The insulation goes through a continuous vulcanisation tube (CV line). We take a hot‑set sample every 2 hours: 200℃, 20N/cm², elongation must stay under 80%. If it hits 85%, the whole batch gets re‑run.
-
Assembly & filling – For round cores (3 or 4 equal), we twist the cores with PP filler ropes. For 3+1 or 4+1 shapes, we use a central filler to keep the neutral core in the gap. A polyester binder tape wraps everything to hold shape before the inner sheath.
-
Inner PVC sheath – 1.0–1.5mm thick (depends on the overall diameter). This layer is soft – its job is to stop the steel tape from digging into the XLPE when the cable is bent.
-
Steel tape armouring – Two layers of 0.3mm to 0.5mm galvanised steel strip (thicker for larger diameters). Applied helically with a gap – we measure the gap with a feeler gauge: must not exceed 45% of the tape width. Overlap between layers is about 25%. We run a continuity test on the armour: less than 0.5Ω per 100m.
-
Outer PVC sheath – Black, matte finish. We print the full specification every metre: “YJV32 0.6/1kV 4×95 + 1×50mm²” or whatever your order is.
