UL 83 THHN Building Wire – 600V Copper Conductor for Conduit Wiring & Control Panels
THHN cable (Thermoplastic High Heat-resistant Nylon-coated) is one of the most widely used single-conductor building wires in North America and international projects. Rated 600V, the conductor is soft annealed copper, insulation is heat-resistant PVC, with an outer nylon jacket. It is suitable for conduit wiring (EMT/PVC), control panels, and internal equipment wiring .
Compared to ordinary THW or TW wires, THHN offers better heat resistance (90°C dry location) and a low-friction nylon layer that greatly improves pulling efficiency. It also meets UL 83 VW-1 flame retardancy, complying with building electrical safety codes .
