TRVVP-K Highly Flexible Cable for Cable Chains — PUR Sheath · Tinned Copper Braided Shielding
TRVVP-K flexible cable for chains
,PUR sheath tinned copper shielded cable
,TRVVP-K power cable with shielding
Product Overview
The TRVVP-K is a highly flexible PUR (polyurethane) sheathed cable specifically designed for use in cable carriers, tailored for industrial applications involving continuous repetitive bending and high-frequency movement. Its key advantages lie in the exceptional abrasion resistance, oil resistance and tear resistance provided by the PUR sheathing material; combined with a tinned copper wire braided shield, it ensures stable signal and power transmission even in environments with strong electromagnetic interference.
The cable utilises ultra-fine, finely stranded oxygen-free copper conductors (compliant with VDE 0295 Class 6 / IEC 60228 Class 6), with the conductors twisted into a cable using a short pitch, combined with a special elastomeric insulation material, enabling the cable to achieve a flex life of up to 8 to 10 million cycles in a drag chain—far exceeding that of standard PVC drag chain cables. It is suitable for industrial applications requiring frequent bending and movement, such as automated production lines, CNC machine tools, robotic arms, logistics conveyor systems, woodworking machinery and packaging equipment.

Structural Analysis
Conductor: Multi-strand, ultra-fine, finely-stranded oxygen-free copper wire, compliant with the VDE 0295 Class 6 standard; the short lay pitch ensures high flexibility and resistance to bending.
Insulation: Special blended PVC elastomer insulation material, colour-coded for identification. For cross-sections ≤0.5 mm², coloured conductors (brown, black, blue, purple, pink, orange) are used; for cross-sections ≥0.5 mm², black conductors with white numerical coding are used; a yellow/green earth wire is fitted as standard for cables with three or more conductors.
Shielding: Tinned copper wire braided shield with a braiding density of ≥70 per cent, effectively suppressing external electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensuring stable signal transmission.
Sheath: PUR (polyurethane) outer sheath, available in black (RAL 9005) or grey (RAL 7001). PUR material offers excellent abrasion resistance, oil resistance, tear resistance and hydrolysis resistance; its low-tack surface prevents sticking during installation, making it suitable for drag-chain applications involving frequent bending at high frequencies.

Typical Applications
Automated production lines: Mobile power supply and signal connections within assembly lines, packaging lines and logistics conveyor systems.
CNC machine tools and processing equipment: Cable carrier systems for woodworking machinery, stone-processing machinery and glass-processing equipment, designed to withstand high-frequency reciprocating motion.
Robotics: Power and control circuits for robotic arms, linear robots and automated handling machines.
Lifting and Warehousing Equipment: Mobile cable routing for cranes, automated warehouses and port handling equipment.
Key Selection Criteria
Confirm movement parameters: These include travel distance, acceleration, movement speed and bending frequency. TRVVP-K is suitable for medium-to-high frequency (500–5,000 cycles per day) and medium-to-high speed (0.5–2 m/s) applications, with a bending life of 8–10 million cycles.
Confirm shielding requirements: If there are strong sources of interference in the vicinity, such as variable frequency drives or servo drives, the TRVVP-K’s tinned copper braided shield can effectively suppress external electromagnetic interference.
Confirm bending radius: The minimum bending radius for moving installations is 7.5 × the cable’s outer diameter; sufficient space must be allowed during installation to avoid damage to the conductors caused by excessive bending.
Confirm the number of cores and cross-sectional area: Select these based on the number of phases in the equipment’s power supply, the number of control signal channels, and the current per channel. Power and signal cores can be integrated into a single cable to reduce the number of cables required.
Installation and Usage Precautions
Do not lay the cable in a twisted manner: The cable should be unrolled directly from the cable reel or drum; it must not be unwound from one end to prevent cable twisting, which could lead to conductor breakage.
Use guide devices: When installing in a cable chain, suitable guide rollers and cable clamps should be used to ensure the cable is fed and retrieved along the intended path, thereby preventing misalignment and wear.
Control Tension: Allow for an appropriate amount of slack during installation to prevent the cable from remaining under constant tension for prolonged periods, thereby preventing conductor fatigue and breakage caused by sustained tension.
Regular Inspection: Cables within drag chains are subject to wear and tear; it is recommended to regularly inspect the sheath for wear, the integrity of the shielding layer and the tightness of the terminals, and to replace them in a timely manner.
