H1Z2Z2-K Solar Cable – 6mm² One reel. 70 amps. 25 years on the roof. This is the 6mm² H1Z2Z2-K. It carries 70A in free air at 60°C ambient, which covers most residential string configurations without upsizing to 10mm² . The conductor is Class 5 tinned copper. Insulation and sheath are both cross-linked halogen-free polyolefin, not PVC. That combination is what lets it sit on a mounting rail in direct sun for two decades without the sheath going chalky or the conductor
